On 12th January 2017, Management, Trust Co-ordinator, Principal, Vice Principal, staff and students celebrated the Pongal festival in a grand manner. The premise was decorated in a traditional manner with thatched hut and accompaintments of farmers. Mr.G.Raman, M.Sc., Agriculture Officer, Vellore and Mrs.R.Sujatha were the Special Guests for the celebration. Our Trustee Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain presided over the celebration. The school celebrated Samuthuva Heritage Pongal by performing pooja to Lord Sun. The Celebration started with prayer, Tamilthai Vazhthu and Welcome dance. Many cultural programmes entertained the students, skit highlighted the struggle of farmers and importance of farming. Dance and Villupattu added essence to the pongal celebration. The students enjoyed ride on Bullock cart, Kabbadi and Uri Adithal. Rangoli competition and Flower show was conducted for the students. The Management provided sweet pongal to all the students and staff. Vice Principal conveyed Vote of thanks as a gratitude to all participants (teaching & non-teaching) for the grandeur of celebration. The programme ended with National Anthem.
