Home Academics Policies



1. “Educating a child is the responsibility of both the parents and the teachers”  parents are teachers at home. Parents are asked to co-operate with the school to impart better education to the students.

2. It is necessary that the students and parents read the Almanac together and understand the contents fully. Student should carry his/her Almanac to school every day. Refer monthly planner for the Academic year schedule. The working day are numbered from day 1 to day 5, and not has Monday, Tuesday……Friday, Saturday and Sunday will not be included in this cycle. All 1st and 4th Saturdays will be a full working day for classes I to VIII. All Saturday will be a holiday for K.G.

3. Students personal record must have his/her photograph with complete information duly signed by Parents/Guardian.Special notices, circulars, home works, time table and portions for term examinations and unit tests will be sent to the students through the Almanac, which should be read and countersigned regularly and kept carefully for future reference.

4. Report on the student’s performance will be shown to the Parents after each term. Parents must check the performance of the students and take necessary steps to improve his/her performance.

5. During Test/Examination if the government declares Holiday, that day’s exam will be conducted after the last exam. Retest will not be conducted.

6. Children who are ill, especially those who have communicable diseases should not be sent to school.

7. Parents are invited to attend Parent Teachers meeting along with their wards and other Functions arranged by the school and to co-operate in the working of the school by Encouraging regularity, punctuality and discipline.

8. Promotion is decided on the basis of cumulative percentage of students in all examinations conducted in the year giving due weightage for each examination. The pass mark is 40% for all subjects.

9. Parents are not permitted to enter the class rooms, talk with teachers during school hours, including lunch time as it affects the smooth running of the school.

10. Intimate any change of residential address and telephone numbers to the school authorities.

11. Books, Note books, Bag, Water bottle, Pencil box, Snacks box should bear the name and class of the students.

12. The school refuses permission to students to leave school after a unit test. In other words, a classes on the day, at least till 12.15 p.m.

13. All the students are expected to maintain a high standard of manners and etiquette while at school.

  • Students are expected to be in the school campus at least 5 minutes before the school timing. Students will be marked absent if they come late.
  • The school gate will be closed for IV to X at 8.30 a.m. and K.G to III at 9.35 a.m. For all the late arrivals, Parent will have to submit a written letter to the Principal stating the reason for delay and get permission to enter the Class. Against any repeated late action will be taken.  
  • Students should keep the school premises and class rooms neat and clean.
  • Students should converse only in English and maintain good discipline.
  • Damaging school property is prohibited. Any Damage or Loss must be reported to the class teacher immediately. Fine will be collected if any such identified. Preserve the school properties, conserve water and electricity.
  • Movements from the class room to Assembly or any classes such as OGA, games, library, laboratory etc., and back to the class rooms by following queue.
  • Students are not allowed to make noise (or) loiter during the class Hours.
  • Attending daily morning assembly, I.H.A’s is compulsory for all students.
  • Copying or helping others to copy and borrowing materials from others are not encouraged during test and examination.
  • Students should not bring valuable things or cash to the schools. School will not be responsible for any lost or damage.
  • No students shall leave the school premises on their own. School will not ensure.
  • Safety of the children outside the school campus and will not be responsible for incidents beyond its control.
  • Play ground rules: No pushing or knocking other students down. ‘Playfighting’, fighting of any kind or karate will not be permitted, No throwing of any objects(stones, sticks, mulch etc.,)
  • School will not allow students to involve into
            a. Mobile chatting with friends
            b. Teasing of peer group elders.
            c. Usage of two wheelers.
            d. Face book account and chatting.
            e. Permissiveness in boy-girl relationship.

    Any such unhealthy trends will be dealt very seriously, pupil against whom they are frequent complaint or misbehavior or liable to suspension or expulsion from school.

14. Lunch and Snacks

Fruits /Nuts / Homemade snacks can be sent for break time. The menu for lunch can be according to the choice of the parent, but not to over-stuff the lunch box. Non-Vegetarian food including Egg is strictly not permitted inside the school campus.

15. All parent communication to the Teacher should be on written in the parent Teachercommunication page in Almanac. No telephone conversation encouraged. Parents must meet the    Teacher in person if they are called for a discussion/meeting.

16. Parents should drop their children near the gate only. Parent should not come to class to pick or drop their wards.

17. Parents should not ask for permission in between the school hours. Parents are expected to plan before hand in order to avoid unnecessary permission during school hours. At any emergency situation on Parents request, students will be sent along with the Parents only, in case of others coming to take the child they should bear the authorization letter written by the Parents.

18. Parent Visiting Hours

Parents can meet the class teacher and subject teacher on 1st, 3rd and 5th working Saturday between 10.00 a.m and 12.00 noon to discuss about their ward’s progress. Against any repeated or unsolved complaints or issues Parents can register their complaint in the COMPLAINT REGISTER kept in the office to the PRINCIPAL.

19. Attendance policy and punctuality from school and late arrival  

  • Every student must have a minimum of 90% attendance to be promoted to the next class. (Except on medical grounds).
  • Long Leave (more than 3 days) should be priorly informed to the class teacher through leave letter.
  • In case of students who have been sick should bring medical certificate while joining and in case of any infections or contagious disease should produce the fitness certificate.
  • Absence Record given in the almanac should be updated by the Parent /Student and submit to the class teacher.

20. Transport Rules from and to school  

  • Parents/Guardians are expected to co-operate with the school by ensuring that their children travelling by school transport report to their allocated stops well in time.
  • Students are to get on or get off the transport only when it has fully stopped.
  • Students are to be seated and ensure that noise levels during travel time is kept low so as to avoid disturbing the driver.
  • Students must make sure that school bags and other belongings are placed properly.
  • Students must keep all parts of their body inside the bus at all times.
  • They should not put their hands out even for waving.
  • No objects should be thrown inside or outside the bus.
  • The consumption of edibles and beverages is not permitted in the school transport.
  • Respect to the bus and its staff will be highly appreciated
  • Cancellation of the bus facility should be informed to the office on writing before start of the Term.
  • Parents should inform the office in advance through written letter, for change in stopping.
  • Avoid Disorderly conduct, Use of improper language, Tampering with or defacing the bus, Out of the seat when bus is in motion, Unnecessary noise, Refusal to obey directions, fighting and teasing etc..
  • Disciplinary actions will be taken if students indulge in any indiscipline. Students using the school transport must maintain proper, discipline or else the transport facility would be withdrawn with immediate effect.

21. Dress code or Uniform

  • Students are expected to come in full uniform on all working days and also for special classes if any, including Parent teachers meeting.
  • Students must wear white uniform on every Monday, with white canvas shoe.
  • ID card, belt and shoes are integral part of school uniform.
  • Girls must plait their hair fancy accessories are not allowed.
  • Girls from class IV to VII will plait their hair with white ribbon on Monday and black ribbon on other days.
  • Girls of KG to III should plait their hairs with black woolen bands.
  • Girls of class VIII to X shall wear single plait with black woolen bands.
  • All girls must wear bloomers under their skirt.
  • Boys should have their shirts tucked in and buttoned up.
  • Students should have clean combed and trimmed hair.
  • Uniforms must be regularly washed and pressed every day with proper size & fitting.
  • Shoes must be polished and socks must be washed everyday It is expected that every student buy three sets of socks.
  • Student should maintain proper personal hygiene and cleanliness by cutting of nails, at regular intervals. Keep a Kerchief always with you to keep you clean. For KG to II children it is expected to pin the kerchief on the Shirt / Frock.


Striched dresses will be provided by the school, parents can purchase one set of Monday uniform with white socks and 2 sets of weekly uniform with blue socks from school. K.G girls dress model will updated later.

22. House system

The students are divided into four houses named after the precious stones. The house system aims to:

  • Develop competitive spirit
  • Develop competitive qualities
  • Build up the talents
  • Encourage Co-operation & team work

23. Mode of Payment

The school fee must be paid on Term Basis in the cash office. Van fee should be paid along with the Term fee on term basis. Fee one’s paid will not be refunded on any account, No reminder will be sent for payment of fee. Additional fee will be collected for any delay in payment of fee, if it is not paid as per the dates mentioned below (5 days grace period)

24. Transfer Certificate

Parents are asked to apply for T.C. before 25th March, if they intend to transfer their children for the next academic year. If applied after this date, I Term fee should paid. The same rule will be followed for T.C. in middle of an Academic year.
