On 22nd June 2018, Eco Club was inaugurated in our school at 1.45 p.m. with students of classes VIII & IX. The programme started with a Prayer song followed by lighting of kuthuvilakku. Our Resource person Dr. E.P.Sabina, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., Associate Professor, H.O.D, School of Bioscience & Technology, V.I.T. University, Vellore was the Guest of Honour. Our Trustee Shri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain presided over the function and honoured our Chief Guest Dr.E.P.Sabina with a momento. The Principal welcomed the gathering and addressed the Chief Guest. The club incharge Mrs.M.Gayathri presented the club activity report of Academic year 2017-18 and Student President, Secretary and office bearers of the club were badged by the chief guest and students took oath, promising to save nature. Dr.E.P.Sabina delivered a Power point presentation on “Environmental Awareness – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle” imparting the knowledge and eco-friendly advices to save our Environmental Resources for future generation by reducing the unwanted electricity consumption, non-degradable materials and waste recycling that reduces the pollution caused by waste. The session was encouraging and boosted students to step forward to have a safe environment. The programme was completed successfully with a Vote of thanks by our Vice Principal.
