Eco Club was inaugurated on 28th July 2017 in our school with the Staff and students of Class VIII and IX at 10.00 a.m. The function started with a prayer song followed by lighting of kuthuvillakku. Our Principal delivered welcome address. The chief guest of the day Dr.R.Pranesh Kumar M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D., Asst. Professor (senior), Department of English, VIT University, Vellore was honoured by our Trustee Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain, Principal and Vice Principal. The club incharge Mrs.K.Gomathi presented the club activity report of Academic year 2016-17. Student President, Secretary and office bearers of club were badged by the chief guest and students took oath to protect nature. Dr.R.Pranesh Kumar delivered a motivational speech to save our Natural Resources and to use paper and jute instead of plastics bags which is harmful for both human being and animals. He also created awareness of chemicals used in food products, dish wash bars that causes serious health issues and narrated moral stories to boost the students to use our natural resources properly. He ended the session by directing students to plant more saplings, save water and to achieve more things as a Indian. The Programme ended successfully with vote of thanks by our Vice Principal.
