On 23rd October 2019, with the aim of combating the deadly disease Dengue, Vellore City Municipal Corporation organized a Dengue Awareness Programme in our school campus. Mr.Siva Subramaniyam, Commissioner and Mr.Bala Murugan, Sanitary Officer along with the supervising team conducted the programme to spread awareness about dengue and its preventive measures to Staff and Students. Mr.Siva Subramaniyam acquainted the students and staff about the symptoms, preventive and remedial measures of dengue, and directed students to follow certain steps and amend in their home. Staff and students took oath to follow the steps to prevent themselves and neighbours from spreading dengue. Nilavembu Kashayam is being provided periodically to all staff and students as a step to prevent from dengue. We request our parents to follow the guidelines to lead a healthy life and avoid dengue. Around 10 students from classes VIII & IX were selected as Sanitary Ambassadors to maintain cleanliness in and around the school campus.
