Krishna Janmashtami is an annual Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Krishna, the eight avatar of Vishnu. On 30th Aug 2018, Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated in our school campus at 10.30 a.m. with Staff and Students. Ms.Saraswathi Bhai, w/o Shri.Rugee R.Kanyalal Jain (late), Founder of our School and Trustee Shri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain presided over the celebration and delivered their wishes to students and staff for Krishna Janmashtami. Students from classes KG to III were dressed up colorfully like Krishnan and Radhai to celebrate the day. The celebration started with a prayer song. Lord Krishna was worshipped by performing Pooja and offering Fruits, Sweets and Seedai. Our Principal delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest of the day, Sri.Madhavananda Das, with other Devotees of ISKCON, Vellore was honoured by our Trustee Shri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain and Trust Co-Ordinator Mr.S.Sureshu. To get the Lord’s blessings staff and students chanted Sri Krishna Bhajan with the assistance of ISKCON devotees. Our Guest Sri.Madhavananda Das shared few words about Lord Krishna. Students delivered a speech, dedicated a song and enacted Life story of Lord Krishna through a dance that made everyone happy. Baby Thulasi, devotee from ISKCON delivered an excellent speech, thanking Lord Krishna for everything we get in our life through a small story. Our Vice Principal expressed Vote of Thanks and wished a Happy Krishna Janmashtami. Seedai was distributed to all as a part of celebration.
