In an earnest attempt to lend a green touch to the school environment and sensitize the students about their role in conserving it, Bhagwan Mahaveer Dayaniketan Jain School celebrated Van Mahotsav Week on 4th July, 2018 in the school campus. The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instill the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forest.
120 students from classes KG to III dressed up like trees, bearing leaves and fruits to bring awareness about the need for planting and tending of trees which is one of the best ways to prevent global warming and reduce pollution. Each student as a tree formed a grove to highlight that planting provides alternative fuel, food, shade, reduce drought and help people.
