Panchusan means “abiding and coming together”. This holy event falls on 19th Aug 2017 and it is a time where Jains take on vows of study and fasting. The last day (8th day) of the festival is termed as Chimchery means “forgiving day”. On 18th Aug 2017, students delivered the importance of Panchusan and Chimchery and enacted the Life events of Lord Mahaveer. Students shared about Teachings of Lord Mahaveer on Non-Violence, Truth, Non-Stealing, celibacy and non-possession which is full of universal compassion. Children learnt that all living beings, irrespective of their size, shape and form, how spiritually developed or undeveloped, are equal and we should love and respect them.
