15th August this year, marks 70 years of India being a free nation.
We happily celebrated 71st Independence Day in our school campus with Staff and Students. The programme started with devotional song followed by Tamizh thai vazhtu and flag song. Our Parent Chief Guest Mr.L.Nagarajan, Havildar in Army took pride to hoist our Indian Tricolour National flag which depicted the strength, courage, peace, truth, fertility, growth and auspiciousness of our motherland. Our Principal delivered welcome address. The Chief Guest Mr.L.Nagarajan was honoured with shawl and Mala as a token of Gratitude by Administrative Officer Mr.G.Jeyaprakash. Our Chief Guest inspired with patriotic speech which highlighted ‘work hard till you succeed’ and also conveyed importance of school life and responsibility of each student. Vice Principal along with teachers dedicated Vande Mataram. Students performed cultural activities on struggles faced by Indian Soldiers by delivering patriotic speech in Tamil, English and Hindi, Declamation on Nehru’s speech “Tryst with Destiny”, Dance and Skit. Vice Principal conveyed wishes on 71st Independence Day. The Celebration ended with National Anthem. Sweets were distributed to all.
