The English Club was inaugurated by the chief guest Mrs. R.H.Kalaiselvi, Lecturer, Auxilium College, Vellore. The event started off with an invocation to the Almighty followed by lighting of kuthuvilakku by the chief guest and other dignitaries on the stage. Welcome speech was delivered by the Principal Mrs.K.Vidhya and addressed the gathering about how book reading and activities of the Literary Club can promote confidence and lateral thinking among the children. She also spoke about the aims and goals of the Club and shared a few thoughts on reading. The office bearers took their charges. The chief guest presented the badges for the club President, Secretary and the Office bearers. Seminar on “Language for communication” was delivered by the chief guest, who motivated the students on the importance of English and its usage in the worldwide. Students were taught with model recitations of poems. She also made the recitation has memory, expression, gestures and can be dramatized for easy understanding. The vote of thanks was presented by the Student President R.Magesh of class IX B, and the program came to an end with National Anthem.
