On this year of India’s Independence with the theme “VIKSIT BHARAT” or DEVELOPED INDIA, we, at BMD Jain school gathered at the school premises to celebrate this Red Letter Day joyfully. The day started with Prayer song followed by singing of Tamizh Thaai Vazhthu.
The Tri-colour was hoisted by all the dignitaries and due salute given to the National Flag also. The flag song was sung by students. Our Principal Mam welcomed everyone and gave a detailed introduction of the Chief Guest Mr. Dilip Kumar, B.B.A.. (an Ex- Army man) he served the Indian Army as an Aero Engineer Technician for 17 years and he is also one of our parents. He is at present a bank employee at SBI branch at Gudiyatham. All the dignitaries honoured the Chief Guest with shawl and memento.
Mr.Dilipkumar enthralled our students with a couple of stories to motivate them on hard work, education, honesty and a healthy competitive spirit to help them move forward in life. The Culturals began with Independence day speeches in English by Nosiya.S (class IX-C), in Tamil by Yaseera Afsheen.S (class IX- E) and in Hindi by Chitralekha.M (class IX-C). An inspiring a patriotic skit was performed by our students on the freedom struggle of Indians from 1857 onwards- a brief view. A colourful dance performed by our girls of classes 6 and 7 was performed on patriotic music .
Our Academic Advisor wished the gathering with motivational words. The day came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem followed by the distribution of sweets sponsored by our generous Management.
