On 18.8.23 marks Zero shadow day, a remarkable celestial event that transpires within locations ranging from +23.5 to -23.5 degrees latitude. During this occurrence, the sun reaches its peak elevation in the sky, causing objects and individuals to cast no shadows.
Celebrating zero shadow day, our students of class VI and VII enthusiastically aligned themselves in a circular pattern to witness the absence of their own shadows. The sun was at its zenith, the highest point in the sky, whose rays make the shadow of any object to be exactly under it, making it look like there are no shadows.
Exactly at 12.17 p.m. no shadow being casted was witnessed by students, Principal, Academic Advisor, Academic Co-ordinators & Teachers. An awareness on this celestial event was given with placards, model of earth’s latitudes and positions of Tropic of Cancer and Tropic of Capricorn. Grabbing the interests of students towards celestial miracles, an awareness was developed amidst students.
