“Freedom is never dear at any price. It is the breath of life”.
On this year of India’s Independence with the theme “Nation First, Always First”, we at BMD Jain school gathered at the school premises to celebrate this Red Letter Day joyfully. The day started with Prayer song followed by singing of Tamizh Thaai Vazhthu.
The Tri – colour was hoisted by all the dignitaries and due salute given to the National Flag also. The flag song was sung by students. Our Principal Mam welcomed everyone. Our Academic Advisor wished everyone and gave a detailed introduction of the Chief Guest Mr. V. Vijayan, Ex Air – Force Sergeant. Our Trustee Sir Sri K. Rajesh Kumar Jain and all the dignitaries including Administrative Officer, Academic Advisor Mam, Principal, Vice Principals honoured the Chief Guest with shawl and momento. Trustee Sir extended his wishes to our students and teachers.
This was followed distribution of prizes and medals to the students who were prize winners in sports, science projects and literary events this Academic Year. It was time for the Chief Guest Mr.V.Vijayan to deliver his motivational address to our students. He spoke about singing both National Anthem and Vande Mataram (National Song) in school. He also stressed on respecting our motherland and our natural surroundings.
The cultural began with patriotic speeches in English ( by Sarani Shree of IX E), Tamil (by Janavi of IX D ) and Hindi (by K.Monika of IX A).
Students of std VIII performed an inspiring skit paying due tribute to the Armed Force. Finally students of std VI danced gracefully to patriotic songs.
The programme came to a close with our Primary School Vice Principal Mam delivering her Vote of Thanks. Sweets sponsored by our generous Management were distributed.
