The memorable Red Letter Day, 74th Republic day was celebrated with Joy and Pride at our BMD Jain School campus. With freedom comes responsibilities and duties and, that is what the whole of India look up to the constitution of India which was framed by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.
The day commenced with the school prayer followed by Tamizh Thaai Vazhthu. The Tricolor Flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Dr.Arunai Nambi Raj, Professor & Dean, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT, Vellore.
The Welcome address was delivered by Our Principal followed by a detailed introduction of the Chief Guest given by Academic Advisor Mam. Our Trustee Sir, Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain felicitated the gathering and encouraged the children to respect our Nation as a true Indian Citizen.
The Chief Guest of the day Dr.Arunai Nambi Raj, Professor and Dean, VIT, Vellore, addressed our student community. He highlighted on the theme of 2023 Republic Day “Jan Bhagidari” which means People’s Participation. He insisted that all students should love history and get interested in the history of everything we see around us. The Chief Guest encouraged our students to be a History Reader and then a History Creator and everyone should contribute something to our society. He supported his motivational speech with many stories and examples.
The culturals began with our students of class IX delivering their Republic Day speeches in 3 languages. Aanoor Hashini S M (IX C) in English, Sandeep K (IX A) in Hindi and Kavin Sandron J (IX A) in Tamil gave vibrant speeches inviting a good round of applause from everyone. The student orators were encouraged with sandalwood garlands which were given by the impressed Chief Guest. This was followed by a colourful representation of Human Rights and Responsibilities by our class IX students. The culturals came to a close with a musical treat, a dance performance by small children of classes IV & V. Ms.S.Elavarasi, High School History & Civics Teacher delivered the Vote of Thanks. After the Photo session, sweets were distributed to all the students and staff.
