The Department of Aeronautical Engineering from C.Abdul Hakeem College of Engineering and Technology, Vellore organized “Missile Launch” workshop and inter school Competition to tribute Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam for his achievements in missiles research by Designing, Building and Launching a missile. Around 47 students of classes VIII & IX from our school participated and built their own model through the instructions given in the workshop session held in our school on 13.10.2017. On 14.10.2017, Quiz competition was conducted in their college for the participants with a PowerPoint presentation. On 19.10.2017, Missile Launch competition was conducted in our school campus. The rockets designed by our students were successfully launched. S.Aswini of IX – B won Gold medal and R.Nithish of IX – B won Silver medal in the competition. The workshop was very encouraging and motivated students to become a successful scientists in near future.
