On 19th Aug 2016 Eco club was inaugurated in our school at 10.00 a.m. with the students of VIII and IX std. The chief guest of the day was Mr.P.Arul Kumaran, M.Sc., M.Phil., Associate professor H.O.D of Bio Chemistry & Examination Co-ordinator, Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, Kalavai. The function started with a prayer song followed by lighting of kuthuvilakku. The Principal welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. The Trust Co-ordinator honoured the Guest with shawl, Mala and Memento. The Incharge Teacher presented the club Report of 2015-16. The student President, Secretary and office bearers were badged by the Chief Guest. Students took Oath promising to make a good environmental future. Mr.P.Arul Kumaran started his speech with a question “what is the difference between plant and animal and discussed Environmental Issues like Global Warming, Pollution, Deforestation and its affects. He advised students not use mobile phones while travelling and to use jute or cloth bags instead of plastic bags which causes harmful diseases to both humans and other creatures. Finally the programme ended with the vote of thanks by the student President.
