This day, January 26th, was a moment of pride and reminded us of our responsibilities as citizens of India.
On this special occasion of our 76th Republic Day, our school soil was profoundly benefitted and blessed by the holy presence of Pujya Panyas ji, a Jain monk who had sacrificed everything earthly and all familial ties 22 years back. The Holy Guruji was given a Red Carpet welcome by the staffs and students of our school as he walked the whole distance to our school. All the respectable members of Sri Swethambar Jain Murti Puja Sangh were our honourable chief guests for this Red Letter Day.
After prayer song, the Tricolor flag was unfurled by the Holy saint and the National Anthem was played followed by the singing of the Flag song by our Choir team. Pledge was taken by the students after which our Principal delivered her Welcome Address. This was followed by the Patriotic wishes by our Secretary Sri.K Rajesh Kumar Jain. Our Academic Advisor also shared her Republic Day wishes. All the guests and the CMCH doctors were honoured with shawl and garland. Then Pujya Panyas Guruji addressed our students as well as the teachers with his preaching. He was specific on maintaining a pious life and advised all to follow the Constitution of Life by Staying Away from Anger and Addiction. He also requested all to Stay Away from the Usage of mobile phone as it wastes our time. He blessed the whole school and distributed his book titled "Jailer" authored by him.
The cultural program commenced with the English speech delivered by Prajan of class IX-A. This was followed by a colourful Patriotic dance by girls of classes VI to VIII. A Patriotic song was sung by our Choir Team. We also had Speeches in Tamil by A.D.Sana of IX E and in Hindi by N.Chandrapal Singh of class XI-C. A.Kareena.S of Class X A spoke on the life and preaching of Lord Mahaveera. Finally at the end of the program Vote Of Thanks was delivered by our V.P. Mam.
"A Single Drop of Blood Can Make a Huge Difference" and that's what matters. With this aim, we at BMD Jain School had also organised a Blood Donation Camp in coordination with the CMCH team to spread the message of Save Lives. Teachers , staffs as well as many parents came forward to donate their blood.
After this there was an Alumni Meet where our Alumni students were invited for a small gathering. After the prayer song the Welcome address was given by our Principal and wishes by our Secretary Sir. All the Alumnae gave a Self introduction and reconnected with us about their school life and their present goals and achievements. Refreshments were served.
