In commemoration of the “World Diabetes Day 2019-20”, Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism, CMC, Vellore organised various competitions.
On 2nd Nov 2019, Essay Writing and Art & Painting competition was held in Darling Residency, Vellore. Our students from classes VIII & IX participated in the competition. Sakthi Sridevi – IX B won 2nd prize in English Essay writing competition on the topic “Diabetes and obesity in you-How can parents and teacher help to overcome these situation”.
On 25th Feb 2020, Educational Video Clipping Competition on the topic “Exercise and Diabetes” was held. Our students Karthikeyan S – VI B, Sudharsan N – VI C, Devadharshini D – VII B, Monish Kumar U – VII D, Renuka M – VII D, Akshaya G – VII F enacted and self-composed a video based on the given topic. The video was shot in our school campus with support of the management. The team won 3rd Prize with Bronze Medal, Cash prize and certificates.
On 07th March 2020, Self-composed Music & Dance competition was held at Darling residency, Vellore. Our students from classes VI to VIII participated and performed dance on the topic “How can Diabetes affect the Heart”. Keerthanaa Shree K R, Shruthika S, Najba K, Praveena B of VII D, Rikthikhaa Shree V – VII F, Megha B – VI D, Elakkya C S – VII B, Mrinalini S L – VI D, Thirukkannan S G – VIII D, Sahasharan S – IV E. The team won 1st Prize with Gold medal, Cash prizes and certificates.
The winners were awarded with prizes on World Diabetes Day Valedictory function held at Darling Residency, Vellore on 07th March 2020.
