Our school organized Ahimsa & wild Life Welfare Awareness Rally on 6th Oct 2016 at 9.00 a.m. from silk mill stop to Odai Pilliyar kovil stop around 2 km. Nearly 750 students from classes VI to IX and staff participated. The Rally was flagged off by Mr.P.Karthikeyan, M.L.A., Vellore. Mr.S.Janardhanan, Secretary, IRCS, Katpadi, State member, JRC, Mr.Srinivasan, Admn. Officer, Kumaran Hospital, Vellore and our Trustee Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain presided over the Rally. Principal, Vice Principal, along with students and staff led the Rally. The sole aim of Rally was to spread the message of Ahimsa and kindness towards all living creatures on the earth with a placards highlighting slogans like “Live and Let Live”, “Ahimsa is the only solution for World Peace”, “Animals are friends, not Food”, “Don’t hunt Animals”. At the end of the programme, each Student and Staff was provided with a glass of Milk as refreshment. This programme was telecasted on SKY TV at 9.30 p.m. on 07.10.16 and re-telecasted on 08.10.16 at 7.00 a.m. This event is published in Malai Malar, Dina Malar, Indian Express, and Malai Murasu Newspapers.
