Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav – the 75th Independence Day was celebrated with much fervour and enthusiasm at our BMD Jain School.
The day started with Prayer Song followed by Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu. The Tri-colour was hoisted by the Chief Guest Mr.R.B.Gnanavel (Vellore District president Tamilnadu Vanikar Sangangalin Peravai and the salute duly given to the National Flag by the whole school.
From Tamilnadu Vanikar Sangangalin Peravai Mr.R.B.Gnanavel (District President Mr.A.V.M. Kumar (District Secretary), Mr.R.Saravanan ( District Youth Secretary), Mr.Arul Prasad ( District P R O), Mr. R.Srinivasan, (Proprietor – Divya Steels), Mr. Sri Ram Prabu (Proprietor – Amman Steels) both joint secretaries were honoured with shawls and sandalwood garlands.
Our Trustee Sir Mr.R.Rajesh Kumar Jain shared his wishes. He spoke about the sacrifices of freedom fighters and also to take a pledge to develop our country. Academic Consultant Sir, felicitated the gathering in a patriotic spirit.
Academic Advisor mam wished everyone on this auspicious day and spoke that patriotism need not be only with love for country. It can be shown through clean India, water preservation, kindness etc. Chief Guest Mr.R.B.Gnanavel gave a highly patriotic speech about history of India, education, discipline, truth and unity in diversity.
Finally it was the time for culturals. Students of IX std gave speeches in English (by MD.ABDUL MASIJID THAAIR R K of IX D), in Hindi (by SANDEEP K of IX A), and Tamil (by KAVIN SANDRON J of IX A ). This was followed by a skit performed by students 9th class which highlighted the struggles during pre- Independence and Achievements during post- Independence. The culturals came to a close with a colourful dance energetically performed by 6th & 7th girls. The whole programme was live streamed in You Tube.
Finally our Magnanimous management sponsored sweets for all the students, staffs and parents.
