On 30th June 2017, Math club was inaugurated in our school at 1.00 p.m. with Staff and students of classes VII to X. The programme started with a prayer followed by lighting of kuthuvilakku. Our Principal honoured the Chief Guest Mr.C.Mayilvahanan, M.Sc.(Maths), B.Ed., M.Sc., (yoga), Principal, UCCK School, Chennai. Club President, Secretary and office Bearers were badged by the Chief Guest. Mr.C.Mayilvahanan delivered a speech about Vedic mathematics and Ancient Mathematicians about, how ancient people calculated mentally without any working. Also He proudly told that we Ancient Indians found the calendar, with correct number of days. In the interaction section students and staff were provided with worksheets and they were asked to perform various mathematics calculations. The session was encouraging. The student secretary delivered the vote of thanks.
