21st Annual Sports Meet was held on 22nd October 2016, Saturday between 9.00 a.m and 1.00 p.m. at Nethaji Stadium, Vellore. Our Chief Guest was Thiru.K.Santha Muthuvel, M.A., B.Ed., Paralympic International Sports Player, Asian Oceania Championship 2016 Discus Throw – Gold Medalist, UK London Open Championship2010 – Gold Medalist, SriLanka Paralympic Army Games2012 (Discus Throw & Shotput) – Gold Medalist and the Guest of Honour was Thiru. A. Periasamy, I.F.S., District Forest Officer, Tirupur & Deputy Director, Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Sri. M. Vimmal Chand Jain, President - Sri Marudhar Kesari Jain Trust, Vaniyambadi & Marudhar Kesari Jain College For Women, Vaniyambadi presided over the function and welcomed the gathering. Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain, Trustee felicitate the gathering and emphasis the importance of Sports and Games activities for the students. The Programme started with a Prayer song, Flag Hoisting, March Past ceremony and Declaration of Sports meet. The Chief Guest was honoured by the Board Members. Chief Guests addressed the gatherings and motivated the students. The students performed Welcome Dance, Yoga, Pyramid, Gymnastics and various Drills. An Event was conducted for Parents which was enthusiastic. Prizes were distributed to Students, Staff and Parents for various Sports Events by Thiru.K.Santha Muthuvel and Thiru. A. Periasamy. Our Principal proudly announced the Overall Championship of the Academic Year 2016-2017 which was won by Sapphire Team. The Vice Principal delivered the Vote of Thanks. Sports Meet was closed successfully with National Anthem. Refreshments were provided to all.
