Today we celebrated Bhagwan Mahaveer Jayanthi, recalling and recommitting ourselves to the ultimate objective of his teachings to attain freedom from the cycle of birth, life, misery and death. His teaching propagated the five vows of non-violence, truth, non-stealing, chastity or not indulging in sensuous pleasures and non-attachment or non-possession of material things. The programme started with prayer and pushpanjali to Lord Mahaveer. Students performed cultural activities to show forth the principles of Lord Mahaveer.
