“It is in your hands, to make a better world for all who live in it”
On 19.08.2023 the students of class 9 performed an activity during morning assembly. This was to bring awareness about World Humanitarian Day.
News was read out followed by a speech on the importance of humanity by IX students. The student speaker spoke that World Humanitarian Day is observed annually on 19th August. This day is observed to pay tribute to aid workers who risk their lives in humanitarian service. This day was designated in memory of a bomb attack on 19th August 2003 on the Canal Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq. Humanity is the quality of kindness, mercy and sympathy in human beings. Humanity is trying to understand others and realize their problems with our own eyes. It means caring for others and helping the needy people. In our school also every year our team visits Sri Jain Goshala to give green and dry grass for all the cows. These type of activities make the children compassionate towards nature and animals also.
“Don’t look for big things. Just do small things with great compassion.
The smaller the thing, the greater must be our affection and care.”
Our student also expressed sincere gratitude to our distinguished management and parents for supporting us to do all the humanitarian activities through Karuna Club. This activity was followed by reciting the Thirukkural on Humanity. Finally, our Principal mam advised our students about humanity and thanked the students and their parents for their generous contributions.
The assembly culminated with singing of the National Anthem.
