The 27th Annual Sports Meet of our school was held on 4th February 2023 at Nethaji Indoor stadium. The Chief Guest of this day Thiru.S.Rajesh Kannan, I.P.S., Superintendent of Police, Vellore District, the Guest of Honour being Sri.M.Vimmal Chand Jain, President- Sri Marudhar Kesari Jain Trust. Our Secretary Sri.C.Lickmichand Jain-Sri Marudhar Kesari Jain Trust. Trustee Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain, Trust members Sri.N.Sripal Kumar Jain and Sri.S.Naveen Kumar Jain were the other prominent dignitaries amongst us to grace this special day. The day began with solemn Prayer Song followed by Thamizh Thai Vaazhthu. Flag hoisting of the National Flag, School Flag and the Olympic Flag followed the prayer.
The much awaited splendid March Past of the 4 Houses namely, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Topaz led by the Head Boy & Head Girl began on the beats of our very school Marching Band. This was followed by the lighting of Olympic Torch and Declaration of Sports Meet open. Our Principal welcomed the gathering whereas our Academic Advisor gave a detailed introduction of the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was honoured with shawl, garland and a token of gift. A fusion welcome dance was performed to welcome the dignitaries. The Chief Guest, the President, the Secretary and Trustee Sir wished everyone on this 27th Sports Meet.
Overall there were 5 drills namely Palloncino Drill (by K.G tots), Dion Drill ( I to III), Splashy Drill (IV & V), Metamorphosis Drill (VI to IX boys) and Ringlet Drill (VI to IX Girls). These bright and spectacular drills added splendor to the day. Yoga done separately by boys & girls attracted everyone’s attention. Pyramid, Karate, Silambam and Archery were the other Sports related performances by our energetic students. Parents and Alumni events were conducted too. Open 100 mts Race and 4x100 mts Relay for both boys and girls made all breathless.
Winners of individual as well as team events were awarded with certificates, medals and prizes. The Overall House Shield was bagged by the Emerald House. Prizes were also awarded to winners of teachers event, non-teaching staff event, attenders events, helpers and bus drivers plus conductors’ events too. Udavum Ullangal Ayya Sri Chandrasekar shared his positive feelings and thoughts about the day. The Sports Meet was declared close after which all gathered for the National Anthem.
