Children’s day is celebrated all over India on 14th November each year. We at BMD Jain School celebrated it two days later, on 16th November alongwith celebration of Christmas. It is a day to increase awareness of the rights, care, education and welfare of children.
Our Trustee Sir, Sri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain made his honourable presence for the celebration. The programme commenced with the Welcome Address delivered by our respected Principal Mam. She wished all the children gathered in the hall to become great citizens. Our Trustee Sir also extended his warm wishes for Children’s Day and Christmas Day.
This was followed by a short skit performed by the Primary School teachers on the theme of “90’s kids and 2K kids”. The children of classes III to VII enjoyed and loved to see their teachers performing for them on stage. High School teachers came forward to sing beautiful lyrical songs in Tamil and Hindi based on children’s theme and Christmas carol. Girls of class VII danced to the music of latest cine songs. We had also put up a series of games for the children. The games varied according to the age group of the students. ‘Pushing cups with Balloons’, ‘Brain game’, ‘Straw in Bottle’, ‘Save water’, ‘Rumours Spread Around’ are some of the games that the children actively participated in and thoroughly enjoyed.
The celebration came to a close with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice Principal Mam followed by distribution of sweets sponsored by our generous management.
