             “Space is an inspirational concept that allows you to dream big”

We, at BMD Jain School proudly applaud all the students who participated in the series of events and competitions conducted by VIT University, Vellore. The VIT University, in association with Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota, celebrated World Space Week from 7^th October to 9^th October 2022, competitions were open for both school and college students.

      Our students participated in all the events namely, Drawing, Quiz, Design Model Project and Extempore Elocution. Three teams for Design Model Project were at the Anna Auditorium, VIT for 3 consecutive days 7^th, 8^th and 9^th October 2022 with their space related projects. The judges were impressed with the projects and students’ presence of mind.

      On 8^th October 2022, Saturday, students participating in Quiz, Drawing and Extempore Elocution were escorted to VIT for their respective events. For Quiz, students had to shade OMR sheets on space related questions. For the Extempore-Elocution competition the participants needed to speak on a topic picked on-the-spot, for 3 minutes. Topics varied from ‘Space and Sustainability’, ‘Space Tourism’, ‘Swachh Bharat in Space’, ‘Women in Space’ etc.

     Though we received information about the competitions in a short duration of time, our parents were eager to send their wards during the Quarterly Holidays. Hats off to our team of teachers who motivated our students with guidelines and ideas through Whatsapp group and face-to-face discussions.

     On 9^th October 2022, Sunday, at the Valedictory function, winners were announced. We feel extremely overjoyed to have winners in all the events.

         Our School Management congratulates teachers for their continuous efforts and constructive guidelines to the students both through online and offline mode. Our parents were also appreciated for their undying support extended towards our school. Our ever-supportive Management congratulates all the participants and winners for bringing laurels to our school.

        We, at BMD Jain School feel grateful to our Management for its motivation and for providing transportation to and fro the venue, even during the Quarterly holidays.
