Our school takes every opportunity for the betterment of our Environment. On 24th August 2018 Seed Ball Festival 2018 was organized as a joint venture of BMD Jain School, VIT EEGAI Founadtion and DKM College for Women, Vellore at our school premises. Our Chief Guest Mr.G.V.Selvam, MBA., Vice President, VIT, Vellore and Guest of Honour Mr.R.Chandrasekar, Udhavum ullangal Iyya, Vellore made this occasion a grand success. Our Trustee Shri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain presided over the function. The Programme started with the lighting of kuthuvillakku by the dignitaries. Our Principal took pride to introduce the Chief Guest and welcomed the faculty members and students from VIT, Vellore and DKM College for Women, Vellore who joined hands in this Seed Ball Festival with the motive to make World Green. Our Trustee honoured the Chief Guest Mr.G.V.Selvam and Guest of Honour Mr.R.Chandrasekar as a token of gratitude. Dr.M.Thenmozhi, M.A. (English), M.A. (Child Care & Education), M.Phil., Ph.D., Asst. Professor, Department of English, VIT University, Vellore was honoured by Principal and Vice Principal for initiating this event and making it grand success. Our Guest Mr.G.V.Selvam shared few words about this seed ball festival with a special quote “Every seed you sow today saves Future generation” and expressed his feeling that Nature is a God’s Gift and Udhavum ullangal Iyya Mr.R.Chandrasekar greeted each one of them for participating in this event and encouraged students to plant more trees and show their support for nature welfare. Our Trustee delivered his gratitude and motivated students to save our motherland. The dignitaries along with students prepared the Seed Balls made of different seeds rolled within a ball of clay and manure. It will be taken to the hills and sprayed in different areas that grows as a plant as result of green environment. Students and staff actively participated and prepared as many as seed balls with the guidance of students of VIT. The programme was successful and the curtains came down with Vote of thanks by our Vice Principal.
