On 13th JULY 2017, Karuna club was inaugurated in our school campus between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. for the Academic year 2017-18 with staff and students of class VI & VII. The day started with Navakar mantra and Karuna prayer followed by lighting of kuthuvillaku. Our Guests of Honour Sri.Rekhchand Choudhary, Karuna International, Chennai and Sri.L.Pattabiraman, Karuna International, Chennai was honoured by our Trustee Shri.K.Rajesh Kumar Jain and Trust Co-ordinator Mr.S.Sureshu. Our Principal Mrs.N.S.Geetha delivered welcome speech and introduced the Guests of Honour. Ms.V.Anandhi, Incharge teacher presented the Karuna Club report of Academic year 2016-17. Student President, Secretary and office bearers were badged by the Resource Persons. Staff along with the Students took Karuna oath. The resource person Sri.Rekhchand Choudhary delivered a speech on “Karuna values”. He advised students to follow the human values like Compassion, Truth, Honesty, Loyalty and respect living beings especially animals which should be treated with Karuna. He requested student to bring into the practice of avoiding Non-vegetarian food and cosmetics made up of animal fat. Our Resource person Sri.L.Pattabiraman presented a PowerPoint presentation on Moral values. He had an interaction session with the student which boosted them well. He explained about moral characters like Tolerance, Truth, Sharing, Caring, Empathy and Love with a case study. He presented a short film on If you want a change, you be the change and advised them to follow it by reciting the Karuna values. The function ended successfully with vote of thanks by our Vice Principal Mrs.R.Geetha.
