On the first remembrance of our former President A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, on 27.07.2016, Staff and Students of our School paid homage to the great ‘Missile Man’ of India through undertaking Pushpanjali. Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s portrait was placed amidst a pool of rose petals. Trust Co-ordinator started the procession by being the first to shower the lovely portrait with rose petals, followed by Principal, Vice Principal, Staff and Students. While this took place there stood several lit candles in front of the humble maestro’s portrait, but no candle can shine as bright as India’s true, eternal star. The procession of offering Pushpanjali completed from class VI to X. Principal inspired the gatherings by citing a few quotes by Dr.Kalam like "I AM THE BEST", "I CAN DO IT", "GOD IS ALWAYS WITH ME", "I AM THE WINNER","TODAY IS MY DAY". Speeches in English and Tamil were read out by students commemorating his works throughout his life till his last breath. Finally pledge was taken by all students to honour our nation.
