On 16th July 2016, Karuna club was inaugurated in our school at 10.45 a.m. with the students of IX STD. Our Chief guests Sri.S.G.Ramesh Kumar Jain, Patron member, Karuna International, Chennai and Sri.M.C.Appandai Raj, Karuna International Chennai was honoured by our Trust Co-ordinator with shaal and mala. The inauguration started with lighting of kuthuvillaku and Karuna prayer. Our Principal welcome the gathering and addressed the chief guests. The karuna club report of 2015-2016 was presented by Incharge Teacher. Vice Principal announced the club President, Secretary, office bearers and were badged by the Chief Guest and all Karuna members took oath.
Our Guest Sri.S.G.Ramesh Kumar Jain started the session with an inspiring speech on “Humane Values” like Compassion, Tolerance and Kindness to all living creatures in the world. The resource person Sri.M.C.Appandai Raj delivered a presentation on “Animal Welfare”, how animals have to be protected by human with love and compassion. He discussed about few products like ice cream, sugar, tooth paste, biscuits that are made from Animal products, which is unhealthy for human to live long life. To make the session more interesting our resource person interacted with the students by conducting Quiz related to Environmental Awareness and Animal welfare and winners were encouraged by giving Karuna value book and Pen. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Vice Principal.
